Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kasneb Foundation?

These are funds meant to pay tuition and exam  fees for those who are unable to afford fees for his/her accounting journey.

-All registered kasneb students are eligible.
-All students who are yet to register will soon be reapproved to be eligible.
Yes,it is a loan and a bursary. There is No option to apply for bursary alone. The loan will  automatically come with a bursary. a portion is a loan and a portion is a bursary.
 
-Tuiton fees goes to institution where you are learning.Only students in a fully accredited institution  by KASNEB  like KCE College can get the fund.
-Exam fees goes to KASNEB as examination body. Our team is always available to give guidance.
-Yes, there is a confirmation upon application completion. -A pdf form is sent to your email immediately after application indicating the amount you have applied for. The form is just for record purposes.
-For tuition fees,you can get upto a maximum of 60,000 (loan and bursary combined)
-For exam fees ,you can get upto a maximum of 30,000 (loan and bursary combined)
Kindly note that the portion above is given to you on an annual basis upon applying for subsequent during the preceding year.
Yes, you can.
-You shall apply for both but in two different applications. 
-You can get both funds
-Two disbursement messages will be sent to you indicating the portion of the loan and the bursary. Having received such messages, reach out to our team for assistance.
-No, Kasneb will not hold your certificate whatsoever.
-This fund is STRICTLY repaid upon completion of your studies 
– It is only the laon that is repaid. Bursary is not repaid.
-This fund (loan part) with  the current inccurs an interest rate of 6% per year. Kindly note that this interest only starts to count upon completion of your studies.
